Direct flights from the Baltics: how to find where you can fly non-stop
By the Baltic Flights team · · 5 min read
A non-stop flight saves hours and removes the risk of a missed connection. From a small region, though, not every destination has one. Here is how to find the direct routes, and when a stop is the smarter choice.
Find the direct routes from your airport
The map on Baltic Flights shows only destinations with a non-stop flight from the departure airport you chose, with today's lowest price on each pin. Change the airport and the map changes with it. It is the quickest way to answer the question: where can I fly from here without a stop?
Use the filters on Explore
On the Explore page you can restrict results to direct flights and combine that with a budget, a month or a continent. It is a good way to spot a cheap non-stop trip you would never have searched for.
When a connection makes sense
Some destinations are simply not served non-stop from the Baltics. Others are, but only on a few days a week or at inconvenient times. A connection through a large hub can open up more dates and sometimes a lower fare.
- Weigh the saving against the extra hours.
- Leave a comfortable gap between flights; very short connections are risky.
- Check whether the stop is overnight, which may need a hotel.
One ticket or two?
When both flights are on a single ticket, the airline is responsible for getting you to your final destination if the first one is late. With two separate tickets you carry that risk yourself, so leave much more time, and remember that you may have to collect and re-check your bags.
